Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Tabriz

The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is renowned for teaching, research and clinical provision, and attracts students, researchers, and clinicians from around the country. The Faculty was founded in 1987 and is located on the Khavaran Campus at the east boundary of the city, five kilometers from the University’s main campus. The Faculty has approximately 75 staff (academic and personnel) with 500 undergraduate students.

Our mission is to help the prevention and treatment of diseases of animals by defining and applying best clinical practice and by embedding an education program in the veterinary sciences that delivers the best veterinary practitioners, academics and research scientists. We educate people in the veterinary sciences so that they develop into leading clinicians and researchers. The pre-clinical, undergraduate education of veterinary students is delivered in a carefully integrated manner in Basic Sciences, Pathobiology, and Food Hygiene and Aquatics Departments in the Faculty and the two clinical years are spent in the Clinical Sciences Department.
